What I have enjoyed in Year 6. By Laiba and Domonique

Laiba

So far in year 6 I have enjoyed the work in maths about fractions due to the fact that its hard and challenging and I enjoy it.  I also like my new teacher Miss Peacock she’s really nice and understanding if I’m stuck in anything she will help me. I am looking forward to our new topic which is natural disasters. We are going to make volcanos out of plastic bottles and I’m really excited.

Domonique

So far in year 6 I have enjoyed the maths. Also on the first week we played hockey and I really enjoyed it. In that same week we did Topic and I enjoyed that because we were doing ruins. Two weeks after that, we started making Viking boats and me and Raneem made the boat also we did French. Later in the day, we did numeracy and it was adding decimals I didn’t get it at first but now I get it a lot.

Year 6 so far By Walid

So far in year 6, we did Vikings and in the first week a man came to tell all about The Vikings. Later in  the topic we made a viking longboat with a partner and my partner was Josh we did a sail, yard arm, shield etc. I really enjoyed making the longboats.  After, we learned all about King Cnut and all the countries The Vikings invaded such as Canada, Britain, France etc. Also, I enjoyed maths we did rounding, place value, fractions , target maths for addition and subtraction etc. I really enjoyed maths and in literacy we wrote a 1st person account, biographies, a non-chronological report. I feel my writing has improved a lot.

Our year 6 class By Alex and Sara

Our year six class is very fun! We have great teachers like, Ms. Peacock, Ms. Jackson. Our first topic in our fantastic learning is the Vikings but  our next one is Natural disasters though. We think it is so interesting and brilliant to learn. Soon, our class will be making plastic bottle volcanoes. In our first  topic we made Viking longships which will be on display outside Ms. Peacock’s class! Anyway, us year 6 and 5 will be performing a primary school  christmas musical. We have been learning about semaphore  code’s, which was extra excellent! Come and join the fun! Recently, it has been target day and last week we were focusing on addition and this week is the best because, it is subtraction. Mostly, we have been doing Science, our topic in science is Living things and their habitat’s which we are keen to learn on. Year 6 are going on a trip to the Southern Cemetery because of Rememberance Day. Everyone is very excited because of this trip and we will learn a lot from it. By Alex and Sara.

Year 6 By Marc

In year 6, I’ve enjoyed making the longboats and I enjoyed the most was painting the longboat brown. I also liked it when the viking man came in when he told us all about the vikings. I enjoyed maths and my favorite bit of maths is place value and decimals. I also enjoyed literacy and my favorite part when we wrote the non-chronological report.
